It is going to be more difficult to discount Jake Paul in the boxing world after today. Yes, he took on another MMA fighter, rather than a boxer, but the advance in his skillset was plain to see. No longer the flailing amateur who was beat by Tommy Fury, Jake Paul was composed and disciplined, working on his defense as much as his offense.

From the outset, it was clear that he had taken his chosen sport seriously, paid it respect, and done the work in the gym. He hurt Diaz in the early rounds and managed to have a beautiful knockdown in the fifth on a pure boxing move. Backing away from a relentless attack, he faded as he threw a counter right hook that landed flush. Nate Diaz was up and fine, but it was a moment that announced Jake Paul as a true boxer.

No he isn't world class. Nor is he even European or even Gold Gloves level. But he is definitely a true boxer, with no question. In winning the fight, which he did - easily, Jake Paul threw out the offer to take a rematch in the MMA octagon, offering to put $10 million on the table to make it happen.

No longer a sideshow, Jake Paul is here to stay.

The tenth and final was as back and forth as anything you can imagine. Jake Paul stayed composed, refusing to be drawn by Diaz, while Diaz for his part tried different angles and new punch combinations. You have to feel that Jake Paul won the fight, but Diaz is unbelievably durable. Diaz is the first fighter to take Jake Paul ten rounds, and he certainly took three if not four rounds of that fight.

The ninth round sees Diaz grow in confidence. He is growing into the bout in a way that nobody could have believed in the fifth. He has such a strange style, constantly turning his back, working the crowd. He has the crowd in the palm of his hand.

Round eight is nothing short of astounding. Nate Diaz comes on strong and batters Jake Paul. The first time in the fight that he has looked to be completely in control. He warms into a fight and his engine is incredible. As the bell rings, he gives a parting shot to Jake Paul in the form of a headbutt. Scrappy stuff!

The seventh was a strong round for Diaz, but he is taking too many big shots on his way in. Paul has done damage to Diaz in the eearly rounds, but as this fight goes on it looks as if Diaz is learning on his feet. That might be only the second round that Diaz won.

Diaz, once again, works his way back into existence, if not the fight, in the sixth round. His style is so ungainly, bull rushing Jake Paul and being made to pay for it every time. Paul is winning handily but Diaz is a hard nut to crack.

The fifth round was wild! Jake Paul said that he would drop Diaz in the fifth. He backs off as Diaz stalks him and in the fade, delivers a right hook to the temple that drops Diaz! No knockout, but Diaz looks ready to go.

The fourth sees the script flipped. Nate Diaz works his way into the fight! He lands some big shots and slows Paul down. Diaz is relentlessly walking Jake Paul down, and as ugly as his style is, he probably won that round.

The third round sees Diaz grow in confidence, perhaps undeservedly. He is still the crowd favorite, but Diaz is flat-footed and awkward in the ring. Jake Paul is doing good work, offering counter punches, getting shots thorugh to Diaz. This is not really even close.

Nate Diaz comes out with the jab and starts to put something back onto Jake. The movement is ugly, Jake still looks the more comfortable man in the ring. But it winds up close.

Round one is a lightning bolt! Jake Paul comes out looking every inch the boxer. He has Diaz at sixes and sevens in the first minute, and is battering him from pillar to post. Diaz's eye is swollen and red and he looks very unsteady on his feet. He survives the round, but if he doesn't use his jab, he won't survive much longer.

You have to hand it to Jake Paul. He has carved out his own road in the combat sports world. Boxing usually brings money to the fighter, but he has brought money to the sport.

The crowd is ecstatic. Both fighters are making their way out. This is so incredible from a fan reaction perspective. They are all on their feet for Nate Diaz. Jake Paul is divisive in the combat sports world, but Diaz is an MMA legend and the crowd go wild.

The main event is next. Jake Paul, love him or hate him, has brought big money back into boxing. He now takes on Nate Diaz in Dallas.

The tenth and final round and the crowd is on their feet. This is all respect! They go to war and Heather comes out throwing bombs. She even backs Serrano up!

It is all one way, Serrano nearly drops Hardy in the round, but she keeps coming. Hardy is the living embodiment of the line in Rocky Balboa - "It's not how hard you can hit. It's how hard you can be hit and keep moving forward."

The round ends and everyone erupts. What a show!

The ninth starts with the ringside doctor taking a look at Hardy. She is incredulous, shouting "Of course!" when asked if she wants to continue. Warrior to the bone!

With 20 seconds to go in the round, a cut opens on her head and the doctor is called on again. Hardy is even more adamant. The crowd erupts in boos at the doctor. They want to see a warrior go out on her shield. If anyone has earned it, it is Heather Hardy.

Amanda Serrano is a level above Heather Hardy, by dear me! Hardy is throwing punches and heading in to the barrage with no hesitation. Round eight was more technical than the seventh, but these two fighters are both just going for it.

The seventh was brutal. Serrano and Hardy stood in the middle of the ring and traded huge punches. Each had their successes and each one got hit with hammer blows. Serrano came out better for it and right on the bell landed a monstrous left hook that shook Hardy to the core.

Serrano steps up the pace in the sixth and is pounding away, but Hardy is as tough as nails. Amanda is in full control of the fight, but Hardy is always in the fight.

Something interesting happened in the fifth round. Hardy set the pace. She may hav even won the round. Serrano is giving her some respect that you felt was lacking in the early rounds, but perhaps she has surrendered too much. Good round for Hardy, Amanda needs to get back on the gas.

The fourth sees Hardy switch it up, working inside, trying to get Serrano in the clench. She is going in low and working the body, moving her head more and more, which is starting to have an effect on Serrano. It is still one-way traffic, but you get the feeling that Hardy may have gotten Amanda's attention.

Hardy keeps moving forward in round three, but she is taking punishment. Sure she is landing her own shots as well, but Serrano is still fresh and composed. Hardy needs to come up with a different plan.

Round two saw Serrano land more big lefts, as hardy progressively got more and more marked up. With 30 secs to go in the round, Hardy way rocked by a big left to the head, stumbling backward. She is a warrior for the abuse she is taking, but Serrano is undisputed for a reason.

Round one was an eye opener for Hardy. She came out banging, but Serrano is a cut above, putting together some incredible left hooks, working the body. There was an inadvertent clash of heads that made Hardy uncomfortable, but Serrano was in control throughout.

As the two fighters get their instructions from the referee, they share a hug before going to war.

This is scheduled to go ten, two-minute rounds, though not many think it will make it that far.

Much is made of Puerto Rico and Ireland when discussing these two fighters, but they are both hard-as-nails Brooklyn girls. Neither one will give an inch.

The winner of this fight becomes the undisputed featherweight world champion. Let's get it on!

Now we are ready for the co-main event as Amanda Serrano takes on Heather Hardy.

The judges called it 59-55, 59-55, 60-54 to Chris Avila. There was never any doubt.

The sixth and final round sees Stephens finally start to figure things out, if only dimly. He has more success working inside, getting in close and catching Avila with a few big shots. Nothing seems to hurt Avila, and it isn't clear if Stephens understands the success that he is having in there, since he immediately goes back out and tries to work the jab again. The fight ends on a war of trades but that was all Avila.

The fifth sees Stephens come out and try to put some work onto Avila. He manages to have some moderate success, but nothing bothers Avila much at all. The two men seem to be working at different speeds. Avila looks slower, but is more in control, more crisp, more fluid in the ring. This is all Chris Avila.

The fourth round is astounding. Avila can do whatever he wants with Stephens. The punches are now landing from every angle, with power, and several times looks to be only a combo away from a stoppage. Stephens whiffs a huge windmill at the end of the round which causes a peal of laughter from Avila. He begins to taunt his opponent, in a classless move. Be careful there. Many men have been knocked out by men they taunted!

Round three is perhaps the best round so far for Stephens, but even so, there is nothing that he can do with Avila. Although spending years in MMA, Avila has had four boxing matches in his career and that bit of experience might be the difference. he seems composed and relaxed and is winning every round so far.

Round two sees Stephens try and force the pace to pick up but Avila is up to the task. He works quicker, but without hurrying up. Avila still manages to land several big one-two punches that hurt Stephens. It looks as if the lack of boxing experience has Stephens a little confused. He can't clench or kick and is not entirely sure what to make of Avila.

The first round sees Avila come out and take his time. Stephens claims the center of the ring and walks Avila down, something that Avila is happy to allow. He just backs away, makes Stephens walk, puts shots together and with 30 secconds to go in the round, catches Stephens flush with an overhand right that stings his opponent. Stephens backs up for the first time in the round.

This is scheduled as a six-round match and Jeremy Stephens is heavily favored in the fight world. Chris Avila is the firm fan favorite however, and has an impressive MMA record.

The next bout is a real grudge match in an eight-round bout at 168 pounds between MMA fighters who don't much like each other. Stephens didn't hold anything back in the media day. “I’m just looking to beat this motherfucker’s ass all rounds. I don’t want the knockout. I want to beat him up.”

Ashton Sylve wins by KO in the fourth round

The fourth round turns into an all-out brawl. The older man Silva decides to switch the script and figured if he couldn't beat the speed of Sylve, so he went toe to toe with him and came out the worse. The 19-year-old landed solid combos, got the older fighter to visibly shrink in the onslaught before dropping him with the same left to the body that he dealt two rounds earlier. This time, Silva could not get up. He is counted out and that is it!

The third sees Silva come out and try to work his way out of trouble, but he is clearly still perplexed. He lands some shots and manages to avoid the worst of Sylve's attack, but this has the look of a hunt, where Sylve is stalking and walking down the older man.

The second round sees Sylve come out switching still, southpaw then orthodox. He is still wary, but starting to make some inroads. Silva tries to land his counter punches but Sylve's speed is catching him out. With ten seconds to go in the round, Sylve lands a peach of a left uppercut to the solar plexus and Silva goes down hard. He beats the count and then makes it out of the round, but Silva is in trouble.

The first round sees the 19-year-old Sylve come forward, looking to show off his speed. Silva is older and more deliberate, though still quick and catches the younger man with a couple of counter punches that stop his attack. Sylve likes to switch to southpaw, but solid punches land and he immediately switches back. Youthful tricks won't work on a wily older fighter like Silva.

The buildup to the showdown has been fraught with tension and we’ve even seen a brawl. Now, the question everyone wants to be answered is ‘just how much are these guys going to pocket when the final bell goes?’

As a tune up fight for a potential bout with Claressa Shields, this is perhaps worrying. Green needs to be more mobile, move her legs. She was gassed a few times in that bout and got away with it with Curry. Shields will make her pay for that immobility.

The judges will give their round but it will be surprising if they give Curry more than two rounds in that fight. All heart, but just outclassed.

The ninth round saw Green get her legs working, catching some counter punches and breaking Curry down. One thing is definite - if nothing else, Olivia Curry has a solid chin. She has taken some big shots and will not go down. The tenth and final round saw Curry come out letting her hands fly, throwing solid combos, but Green was just too much for her. The fight ends with a solid Shedasia Green win, but the simple fact that Olivia Curry went the distance is worthy of applause.

In the seventh, Curry came out and got on her bike, backpedalling, moving, forcing Green to reset and not just unload. She put together some nice counter punches, catching Green with a few, but the power is all one way. Green is treating this like a heavy bag session. In the eighth round, both fighters start to look gassed. Even Green seems to be tired. Those tip-tap punches that Curry is throwing are starting to show some effect.

The fifth saw the momentum shift, as Green went on the offense, Curry was just able to cover and ride the storm out. Unloading shot after shot, the sixth saw Curry get rocked by big heavy combos to the head. Both fighters are immobile, loading and exploding, but Curry will need to get her legs moving if she is to survive the seventh.

Olivia Curry came out on the front foot, sticking that jab in Green's face, doing good work in round one. By round two, Green was looking unconcerned, but sluggish. As Curry came forward, Green would stick a stiff right hand into her face, stopping any attack. The third round saw Curry grow in confidence, and by the fourth, Green had to rely on that big heavy overhand right to stop Curry's attack.

This fight is scheduled for 10 two-minute rounds, although not many expect it to go that far. Green is 12-0 with 11 KOs.

Curry is in perhaps over her head, in that this is her first big fight in front of a large audience. Green is expected to win this one handily.

Through the first five rounds, it looks as if there has been a war going on. Sanchez has been landing some sweet uppercuts and Beltran is going toe to toe with him. They have traded punches and in the fifth, Beltran came away with a deep gash on his eye.

In the sixth and seventh, Beltran seemed to fade and Sanchez landed bomb after bomb to end the fight. It is dead even as the fight ends with both slugging away.

Welcome to our live coverage of the fight between YouTube star and boxing moneymaker Jake Paul and the UFC’s Nate Diaz.

Although derided by many boxing fans at the start of this journey, Jake Paul has been slowly winning over even the most incredulous of fight fans with his training regime and seeming willingness to take boxing seriously.

Landing a fight with a “proper boxer” in Tommy Fury, Paul made a solid showing and even though he lost the bout, he was not at all embarrassed or outclassed by his opponent.

Diaz will be making his boxing debut as he jumps from UFC to the ring in order to satisfy a years-long feud with both of the Paul brothers via social media. He will have a steep hill to climb, however, in fighting a younger and bigger man in Jake Paul.

Both fighters have the same height and reach, standing at 6′ 1″ pawing a jab out 76 inches. Diaz put on 15 pounds for the fight, which is taking place at the 185-pound cruiserweight level, and at 38 years old, this could be significant.
